These impressive, extra-tall terrariums bring an entire miniature tropical landscape into your home. Crafted from recycled glass, their beautifully rounded bodies and elegant tapered necks create a striking display, offering a generous space for lush greenery, delicate orchids, and natural forest-inspired arrangements.

Standing approximately 47 cm tall, these are among our larger terrarium creations, making them wonderful statement pieces for a home, office, or special indoor space.

Each terrarium is individually planted and composed by Living Art, featuring its own unique combination of living mosses, miniature orchids, tropical plants, and carefully selected natural decorative elements.

Depending on the arrangement, your terrarium may feature delicate miniature orchids, velvety jewel orchids, graceful ferns, creeping tropical plants, or other interesting tropical greenery. Living moss is always an essential part of the landscape, bringing softness, texture, and that wonderful forest-floor feeling.

Some arrangements are lush and densely planted, while others make use of the extra height to create beautiful vertical landscapes with interesting pieces of wood, climbing plants, and carefully positioned foliage.

No two terrariums are exactly alike.

Why I Love These

There's something magical about creating a miniature forest inside such a beautiful piece of glass.

The generous rounded base provides space for a rich, layered forest floor, while the extra height opens up opportunities for taller pieces of wood, delicate climbing plants, and miniature orchids positioned at different levels.

I particularly love how these larger terrariums allow you to appreciate the tiny details of an ecosystem while still making a beautiful statement in a room.

The recycled glass adds its own character, with subtle variations that make each container feel a little more organic and unique.

These aren't simply decorative plants in glass. They're little living landscapes that continue to grow, settle, and evolve over time.

A Little Ecosystem of Its Own

These terrariums are designed as semi-closed ecosystems, allowing minimal air exchange through the narrow opening at the top.

The glass helps retain humidity, creating a sheltered environment for moisture-loving tropical plants and mosses.

Once established and balanced, they require very little intervention.

Prefer a fully closed ecosystem? A suitable cork or glass stopper may be added on request, depending on availability and the needs of the plants inside.

Each Terrarium Includes

• An extra-tall decorative recycled glass container (approximately 47 cm high × 26 cm maximum diameter)

• Assorted living mosses

• A selection of miniature orchids and/or tropical plants, depending on the arrangement

• A carefully layered drainage and substrate system

• Natural decorative elements such as stones, bark, or wood

Every terrarium is individually made, so the plant selection, moss varieties, decorative details, and overall arrangement may vary depending on available stock.

As these containers are made from recycled glass, slight variations or small imperfections in the glass may occur, adding to their individual character.

Once your order is placed, we'll share photographs of the terrariums currently available so you can choose your favourite.

Lead Time: If no pre-built terrariums are available, please allow approximately 2 weeks for your terrarium to be specially created and established before collection.

A cork or glass stopper can also be requested if you'd prefer a fully closed terrarium, subject to compatibility, plant requirements, and availability.
